This programme will attract people who have an interest in all aspects of horse care, and who enjoy working outside. There are a wide range of training opportnities in the different parts of the horse industry, including livery yards, riding schools, training establishments and charitable organisations.

On the Apprenticeship programme, all aspects of Horse Care are studied, including preparing and cleaning stables, feed and water, grooming, horse health and well-being. The programme leads to an NVQ in Horse Care, as well as key skills including communication, application of number and working with others. Learners, will also cover at least one specialist area, such as riding, exercising or care of the performance horse.

There are excellent opportunities for trained, qualified and experienced people in the horse industry, with the chance to specialise in a chosen field, riding tuition, training young horses, or even running your own business.
