The Apprenticeship in Floristry will be of interest to people who have a flair for colour and design, and who enjoy working with and helping other people. Floristry involves the construction of a wide range of floral arrangements and displays for sale, and requires staff with creativity and skill.
The Apprenticeship programme leads to an NVQ in Floristry, covering such things as maintaining the condition and appearance of plants and flowers, constructing a variety of floral designs and dealing with sales to customers. Apprentices will also cover key skills in various areas, such as communication and working with others, as well as transferable skills such as health and safety at work and maintaining working relationships.
Once qualified, there is a wide range of opportunities within floristry, with excellent progression routes, which could include setting up your own business.
